What is Medically Fragile

CCMF defines a medically fragile individual as someone who has high medical/nursing needs requiring constant care and observation caused by one or more of the following: 

1. has frequent seizures
2. has an artificial airway (tracheostomy)
3. is fed by a special tube (gastronomy, jejunostomy or nasal tube)
4. depends on a cardiac and/or respiratory monitor
5. depends on a ventilator
6. requires airway suctioning
